Art Moore

ART MOORE is a newcomer to The Workshop this season, and will be taking on the roles of Technical Director and Facilities Manager. He joins us from Atlanta’s Academy Theatre where he was the resident Set Designer and Technical Director. During his time in Atlanta, Art also worked in construction on the Paramount+ series of Tulsa King season 2, and ran an award-winning season as the interim Production Manager of the Georgia Ensemble Theatre. At Georgia Ensemble, he worked with Tony Shalhoub and Brooke Adams on a sold out performance of Love Letters. Before Atlanta, he designed and built sets in most of the theatres around Western North Carolina, namely for Asheville’s Montford Park Players (the third oldest outdoor Shakespeare company in the United States). Art has enjoyed 25 years on and off stage with credits that include directing a wildly successful James and the Giant Peach; assistant directing The Crucible, Krapp’s Last Tape, and The Zoo Story; as well as performing in the roles of Laertes in Hamlet, Orsino in Twelfth Night, and Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol. Art holds a BS in Chemistry of the Environment from the University of North Carolina Asheville and he works part-time as a STEM tutor for college students. Now, let’s make some spectacular magic!
