The Assistant Technical Director [ATD] is responsible for working alongside the Technical Director/Scenic Designer in supervising the technical process of each production. The ATD will attend all production meetings, tech & dress rehearsals, & build & focus calls associated with the production. They will work with the Technical Director to come up with a schedule for build, hang & focus, load-in, and strike. Once the production is open, the ATD will be responsible for the maintenance of technical elements in the production. If needed, they will serve as a member of the Run Crew and assist in the production of special events associated with Theatre Workshop of Nantucket.
Previous experience & familiarity in all aspects of technical theatre. Knowledge and operation of various power tools, carpentry skills, knowledge of ETC software and lighting equipment, familiarity with various forms of audio equipment and software. Familiarity with AutoCAD and VectorWorks programs is helpful, but not required. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under time constraints. Valid driver’s license.
Compensation: $450 per week, potential housing provided
